  • The libretto of the whole operetta from 1972 from Buenos-Aires has this text: Tsu dayn geburtstog, tsu dayn yontef haynt, Hobn zikh farzamelt dayne gute fraynt. Yeder vinsht dir tsu getraye reyd, A sakh nakhes un a sakh freyd. Hura, hura, du, tayer kind, hura, mir vintshn dir gezunt (which should be sung "gezint" to rhyme)! Gebrakht hot yeder in zayne hent, Tsu dayn geburtstog dir a present, Funem gantsn hartsn, nem es, nem es dir, Azoy vintshn ale mir. Hura, hura, ...
