damn i can't believe you people are complaining that fallout 3 has bought about interest in classic jazz. i love this music but if you think this music is gonna make a comeback all by itself you've got another thing coming. you should be glad fallout is giving this music some attention

was Billie Holiday dark skinned?

Not into video games, either, but there is an excellent instrumental rendition of this song in the great film Chinatown.

@rey6333 Do you honestly think every person enjoys spending their time searching for old jazz singers? Bethesda reminded us where a lot of our music came from by selecting classics like this song into the Fallout 3 soundtrack. You should be happy that a game developer invited a more modern crowd into great music like this. I'm 16, I have fallen in love with jazz, and I owe it all to Bethesda. I'm sorry that I wasn't born in the 1930s >_>

I wouldn't of came here if it wasn't for Fallout 3. And i love this song :D

I'm sorry we weren't all born in the 1930's.

@MyGrassIsGreenest Just like you say thank the video games it's not mine (and others) fault they learned about or started to like this because of the game. It's good music and that's what matters.

What other form of modern media will expose us to great music like this except for video games? People should be praising games instead of casting them aside. Games and movies are great for exposing people to artists like this.

One of my favorite fallout 3 songs

Good stuff

how are those hot little potatoes.
No idea what fallout 3 is, was, or hopes to be. This is the young Billie Holliday, one of the greatest singers of all time, in any genre, backed up by some truly outstanding musicians, who should be credited here, and singing a classic song.
It's called jazz, it will never grow old and you are in the presence of greatness.
Crabby Old Person thanks SamTheToyRobot for posting this. Now where's my damn cane?

@1tabt It's a video game set in post apocalyptic America. It's as if time froze in the 1940-50s. Lot's of jazz and things.
But yeah, Lady Day was great. :)

I don't like to play video games, because they are too much like life for me. Can I just log on and watch and listen to the music? If it's not too much trouble, could you just give me a few pointers on where to go. Thanks for anwsering my clueless question and again thanks for posting the vid.

@1tabt Log onto the game?
And it's not a clueless question. It's just video games. Nothing important. :P
