Hi! I'm also considering to buy it, and I have a question. Is it possible, to upload your own .pdf or .doc files from your computer (so NOT downloade from the official Adobe Store)? Let's say, you write a paper, and you want to have it with yourself, or you need to read study materials which are also in .pdf format? Thanks in advance for the answer:)!

@bonaventura24: yes, you can upload your own PDF/TXT files, etc. (DOC files aren't supported). You can add files by importing them into the free Adobe Digital Editions software and then dragging to the eReader OR you can just drop files onto a micro SD card as you would music and photo files. If you choose the second method, you can see the files in the main list of books with the label "SD" instead of "INT" (for internal) or through the eReader's File Explorer.

Es freut mich, dass diese Review hilfreich ist. I was in Germany and went to Hugendubel to purchase the eReader shortly after it was released. Now that the company has fixed the software problem, it works much better. I really like it because I can download books without shipping hard copy books overseas. I stlll think it would be nice to be able to search within the books.

The firmware update fixes the keypad problem and the startup display brightness issue. I still notice occasional slow loading. I am using a microSD card for photos and find that it is slow to load.
Some features not available on this device, but available on the Kindle:
-search for particular words/phrases within a book
-subscriptions to periodicals (via Amazon)
-preinstalled dictionaries to use as references for words in books you are reading
-WiFi and/or 3G

Just found out there is a firmware update for the keypad problem at the TrekStor site.

It is actually a German product, but manufactured in China.
