Guru Drumworks prototype free floating stave kit. No close mic's or EQ

Made from 200 year old + mahogany. Ultra thin (3mm) stave shells, completely free floating & suspended on custom chassis design. Simple 3 mic capture with no EQ or effects whatsoever. As this YT audio is limited compared to the original recording, please review through good quality headphones, as the ultra lows on this kit are outstanding for such small drums. Notice too, how little effort is needed to get them to open up.

@ 1:16 you can see the physics at work while concentrating on the front bass drum hoop. With every batter strike, the entire system floats in unison. Really cool stuff. Awesome looking drum kit.

@bmm665 Thanks for all the props guys :) Yes, this kit was expensive to build, but most true prototypes are. Look out for news this year about our new series of thin shelled stave & steam bent drums. They take a lot from this prototype, but look very different, & will be affordable too. Very new thinking in drum design, & they sound even better than this prototype.
