  • I AM A SURREALIST FILM!! ONLY INTELLECTUALS WILL UNDERSTAND ME!!!

  • someone raped that little girl.

  • @FermentedTinal now you mention it you have right

this make sense for all the film thats why people turn off ,because he stop to dream (people say when people die have memories or dreams of her lifes) and die in the end

  • @packcatza Yeah... I feel like i was just watched 30 minutes of Cabagges LCD... if that makes any sense...then again, nothing here does @_@

  • I feel empty.

  • @homicidalpsychokat i dont know anything bout it, i jsut pasted this to give people any sort of idea of what it might be about. Personally, it helped me enjoy and understand the animation better after reading any explanation about it...this was one I stumbled on so I shared it..as for its accuracy, well I guess thats for others to find out on their own if they really want to.

  • @vio7361 The director, Tatsuo Sato, never even KNEW her. The original manga artist, Chiyomi Hashiguchi, was married to a man named Yamano Hajime. Indeed she did commit suicide but the whole thing about the director being her husband is a tasteless myth created by idiots. This lie only serves to enhance viewers's empathy, nothing more.

  • I CAN"T STOP CRYING! What I got out of this film is that regardless of how hard you fight to keep the things you love, however much hell you go through, they won't last. They'll disappear and you'll be left with..nothing. Everything -LIFE- is pointless and bleak so why bother even trying to stop the inevitable in the first place? I understand why the lady committed suicide. The raw pain and sorrow is tangible here.

  • I need to read Jacque Lacan again!

  • the director made the film in memory of his wife who committed suicide. The cat with half a soul is supposed to symbolize her depression, and the male cat is supposed to represent her husband, doing everything he can to make her well again. The ending, where everyone turns off like a television, is supposed to represent death, and how inevitable it is. Even through that long quest, the cat could not prevent his sister's death in the end.
