The Story of the Roving Listener - TSI Conference 2012

De'Amon Harges, "The Roving Listener," tells his story of how he came to work in community to observe and connect peoples' gifts in neighborhoods to build community, economy, and mutual delight. This was taken at the Toronto Summer Institute for Inclusion 2012 in Toronto, Canada at Ryerson University.

Please excuse the poor video quality, I was using my photography camera and don't have much video experience. However I've learned so much from De'Amon and this practice of Roving Listening, which is a wonderfully unique way of practicing Asset-Based Community Development. So, despite the poor quality I'm posting this in the sake of sharing great learning!

Thanks for this! It's really cool how you can hear so much about listening and observing. it's also good that it pointed out that sometimes the survery approach just doesn't fit.
