Riot police used truncheons, tear gas, stun grenades and "less lethal" weapons in an hours-long attempt to turn back hundreds of protesters in downtown Oakland on the evening of Tuesday, October 25th. The extraordinary scenes played out some twelve hours after police used chemical agents to clear the tent city that had occupied Frank Ogawa Plaza for the previous two weeks. At least 85 were arrested during that morning raid; no word yet on the evening arrests, though KCBS reported at least 5 additional protesters were arrested.

  • This whole thing was bullshit. They were doing this peacfully and then the police fucked it. Maybe the captain or whatever thought if they were showing they were strict that nothing would happen. But having those guys show up with guns and smoke were the accessories that ignited the flame. Sad.

  • THAT IS SO COOOOOOOOOOOL

  • Bunch of pussies!!!Freedom my ass!

  • what a gay riot

  • I'm flying home from Japan this year and driving with a few friends to NYC to watch the ball drop. I hope I see some of the occupy crowd. I want to remind them of how pathetic they are. I'll do this before I arrive to my Vermont cabin for a weekend snowboarding trip. God it's nice to be hard working and successful :)

  • 00:20 All of a sudden, some COD fanboy comes running up with a knife and shanks them...

  • @niceguy1060 lol

  • those cops are bad one shot at a car that was just driving by wtf

  • @BigB1988 I agree with captaincavemen this protest was strictly peaceful until police decided it was ok to shoot protesters with tear gas. So what if they stand in the street, that doesnt mean tear gas is needed. This is nothing more than a case of extreme police brutality and these cops should be held accountable for there actions. A man was shot with a tear gas canister at close range and is now in critical condition... how is this justified?

  • ANONYMOUS> PLEASE PUNISH AGGRESSIVE POLICE !!!
