@loopba The snatch is a more advanced exercise, and for many is much harder to master correct form. I like variety and challenging myself with different exercises and would recommend both exercises. However, the basic swing is an excellent exercise in itself and if you are limited on time and have to choose between the two, the basic swing will give you more of a cardio challenge in less time.The snatch does give a momentary rest in the top position, whereas, there is no rest with the swing.
cool, is there any advantage to these over the regular swings? I tried some of both last night and felt like the swings were actually harder and working more of my hips and abs

@loopba It's not so hard--mostly momentum and technique--the cardio is the limiting factor for me.
