Still in their early twenties, the students at the young private international Jacobs University in Bremen are already considered future torchbearers of industry and science.
Many of the students at the private Jacobs University in Bremen major in logistics or engineering and the natural sciences. You have to have excellent grades and letters of recommendation to get in, but university president Joachim Treusch says interest in other people and curiosity about other cultures are equally important. Students come from more than 90 countries and live on campus. They study about 10 hours a day, including weekends, but there's time for other activities ranging from astronomy, the martial arts to oriental dance. Wolff Gebhardt and Michael Wetzel accompany three students throughout the day in our five-part series 'Campus Bremen'.
