Just a heads up. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the slowest days in this part of the country (Midwest). We call it, "California Weekend". The small amount of traffic that left California on Saturday and Sunday is here by Tuesday and Wednesday causing large gaps in traffic. Plan on filming here on Thursday through Monday. If you go out Saturday, you would need to bring several batteries because the intermodal hotshots will be neverending. Mazon = 70 mph hotshots east AND west. PERFECT location.

Cool! The trains on the NS Norfolk District along U.S. 460 go really fast, too! Speed limits are 60 for intermodals, and 50 for manifest, loaded coal, and empty hopper. High/Wide moves are usually limited to 15 miles per hour, but I have seen them do at least 40.
