The Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov (2009-) explains how 30 pages long report with recommendations from the Secret Service alleges that the Mafia has infiltrated a lot of the public administration in Bulgaria and how there is a concerted plan for assault upon the Bulgarian Institutions by the Mafia which is interested in their becoming subservient to its malign practices and the public servants being afraid and corroborating with the Mafia in milking the national wealth of the country and the European funds as well. The former PM from the Socialist Party, Sergei Stanishev, had got this report but never ever returned it to the Secret Service, as he was obliged to do by the law and this was passed to the current Prime Minister by a former agent of the Secret Service who does not know how many other people have seen it but the message is clear: the Mafia knows what the Government knows about it and is aware of every move the Government is planning to take against it. Boiko Borisov says that the former PM Sergei Stanishev should be put under prosecutor's scrutiny for wrong doing and mishandling classified information allowing it to leak to people from the organised crime contingent. Some people say that the current Chief Prosecutor Boris Velchev (well educated and smart young prosecutor) is suspected in connections with the created by the former Communist Party Mafia, so he is not expected to do much about it. That's why Boiko is warning him that this would be "a disaster for the Bulgarian credibility with our partners from EU" if nobody gets investigated and the answer of how this was leaked is not found. Says, Boiko Borisov: For the first time since I am in power, I have such feelings of desparation and disdain realising how strong the organised crime is and can only hope that every future classfied report would not end up in their hands because the system is rotten with corruption and infiltration by them".
