Mayan Calendar Dreamspell Animation - Cosmic Ascension

My first animated short based on ideas and visions of the Mayan people the Tzolkin count and the dreamspell calendar. Created in 2003 to be presented along side a live band at the annual summer solstice festival Om. As an artist with little experience the task of animating the journey from ancient ruins in Mexico to the edge of the universe and back was nearly more than I could handle but I put in many hours using Maya and Digital Fusion and completed the piece to my satisfaction in a little less than 3 months.

I cannot locate a clear digital file of the video and the version I have to upload must have been captured from a tape. I hope I can find the better version or possibly recapture it from the Digital Beta master.
Maybe one day I can re-render everything in HD and add some more scenes .

I believe he is correct that there must be a shift in thinking. The Dreamspell Calendar is his platform to present these ideas.

My little animation is based on Arguelles's ideas therefore the Mayans and many other influences.

I hope people see it and wonder what and why and discover that there are many ways to perceive the world. Do what works for you but don't believe the hype.

I am aware that the Tzolkin and the Dreamspell are different. The Dreamspell is totally based on the traditional Mayan calendar but its purpose and use is different too. Arguelles teaches that humanity must change the way we think and act in our world to continue to survive in it and his main vehicle to bring in that change is to change the way we keep time. Changing the time to a more natural cosmic count will change/improve/balance the way we behave and interact with each other and the world.

Nice video! But I wanted to make clear to our consciousnesses that Dreamspell is not a Mayan Calendar but Arguelles Calenar. For example according to The Mayan Tzolkin Count today is 8 Lamat, Kin 128! That´s the difference :-)
