My husband and I got married on 9/11/09 of this year, he has been deployed almost a yr now.. wont be home for a few more months. Being the wife of a soldier is one of the hardest things in life, especially having young children and them not understanding whats going on. I love you Jeffrey. be safe and come home soon!

my wife cant listen to this without crying. this year i retire and ive never seen her so happy. she has a jar of jellybeans, with the number of days left matching the number of jelly beans. she eats one a day, we used to do this when i was deployed. now the end of the road is approaching, hope she can put up with me lol.

i met Roxie tonight and she performed this song. It was even more powerful live. I can't understand how this wasn't a number 1 hit. I bought her cd. She asked me what I did for a living and gave me lots of support. How cool is that?

I saw Roxie Dean live tonight at the Hank Williams museum in Montgomery AL. She sang this song beautifully and said it was one the most meaningful of all her songs. It was never recorded by a record label but she has sang it all over the country and always gets great response. Great song!

I am in the same boat. Im 16 weeks preg and hubby has been gone for 2 months. This is our 2nd deployment together. I am so proud of him everyday. Hes trying to make sure he can be here for our sons birth but we all know how the military is, so we just keep our fingers crossed.

it does hurt alot im 17 and my husband has missed most of my pregnancy and we were for sure if he would even be there for whn our son is born but we were one of the lucky ones where hell b home in time for the birth

Im so incredibly proud of my husband and what he does but it hurts so much every time he walks out the door, much more when he leaves for weeks, months or years He is my rock and I dont know what I would do without him. This video shows just how hard it is being married to someone who is in the military. I pray all of the soldiers who are deployed return home safely and the ones who are supposed to be leaving have a speedy deployment. God is watching over all of them and is standing next to them
