  • @bearnurse1 And at our church we still have the old red hymnals and we aint gonna change. I don't like the new music. The old is much more beautiful. :)

  • It is #315 in the Lutheran Hymnal, published in 1941. It's also in the LBW.

  • A 53 yr old Lutheran from Michigan here. In my life I've been both LCMS and ELCA. I hear this hymn more in LCMS than ELCA. I really don't understand why there can't be just one all inclusive Lutheran hymnal. But I guess a six thousand page volume would be difficult to fit in pew racks. lol
