This song was heard in the movie. It was in the scene when Rose and Cybil were heading to the church for sanctuary while the sirens were wailing.

It's basically the same song, but this version is from Original Soundtrack, the other from Complete Soundtrack, which has only the parts heard in the boss fight. This has some different sounds.

Now that you mention it, I can "hear" what you're talking about. It just makes the track that much(more) rad.

Personally, I love alot of Akira Yamaoka's work(s), but I feel he got the mood/motif of the world of Silent Hill pitch perfect the first go around. Granted, the other SHs after the original were great it in its own right, but he FUCKING NAILED Silent Hill One. Thumbs up if y'all agree. =D

Sure thing. It's got harmony, a very controlled rhythm, and recognizable instruments like an organ and percussion.

Some people are touchy about the word "song" without words, though, so I'd go for calling it a "piece."

Could be much more avant garde.
