  • If you got a patent on your design, you would get a cut.

  • The writers need to cut out the middle man!

  • HAHAHAHAHA. idiot

  • Speaking as one of the writers in the clip, I just wanna say thanks for your support gang! I especially dig the comments by ThelmaPickles! You rock!

  • It sounds like you'll be on strike for a very long time until the WGA causes enough pain/loss of revenue to the studios. WGA needs some strong leadership to secure a foothold in webb based media that will eventually eclipse traditional films/tv. I hope you'll stick it out....the next opportunity will not follow anytime soon.

  • Balloon Artist supporting WGA!

  • No, all I am trying to point out is that different jobs dictate different pay - and the writers usually make less than the execs and producers. If the writers don't like this, they can always change their profession - or tack on a writer/producer credit. It's been done.

  • Wow. You say, "If they think they can do the job of the studio, be my guest." It's like you're saying that John Steinbeck couldn't have worked at a publishing house. I'd be willing to bet that John Steinbeck could have been a publisher. But I doubt his publisher could've written "The Grapes of Wrath."

  • No, that's a writer's ASSISTANT. One of those workers that you purportedly care about that's being hurt by the strike.

  • Get your facts straight. It was not the WGA's game plan to stockpile scripts. Stockpiling is what the STUDIOS try to do -- because they know that without scripts, without writers, they will have nothing to produce.

  • I'm stunned that anyone could think that the writers of shows receiving a fraction of a fraction of a picocent from their work while Producers (who, yes, deserve to profit, too) make an exorbitant sum several times the initial investment. There's no argument here, the writers deserve more than they get.
