A normal hook like the ones used with diapers 30 years ago (at least in Portugal:)) is perfect for knitting this style. I already tried some different ways and this is the one I find easier.

Cable is made the same way, you have to take some stitches off the needle, knit some other and then knit the stichtes you took off before. Sorry for my English.

Wish she would of done more than only 2 examples of the knit stich. I think it is amazing also and will have to find a book on it!!!
