Hello again JoshTinkler - if you go to our website and scroll down toward the bottom of the first page you will see a section called "Advantages of Extreme Drums". You will find the detailed answer to your question there. Thanks Josh.

JoshTinkler - our trigger respond to all your playing styles ... loud ... soft ... and everything in between. You can even use brushes, mallets, rods, as well as your sticks. You could even play your converted drums with your hands or fingers if you want.

Does this work on the kick drum or any drum as well?
THROWDABODIES 1 month ago
To THROWDABODIES - This video is our X-1 Trigger, a single sensor trigger for toms. We have Kick Triggers for your bass drum and X-2 Triggers or X-2m Triggers for your snare drum. The X-2 is a dual sensor trigger for wood shell drums. It gives you rim triggering as well as head triggering. The X-2m is like the X-2 except that it is made for metal shell drums. You could use the X-2 Triggers on your toms if you have a module that supports dual trigger tom inputs. Hope this helps.

@gmrinker1 Is it necessary to use mesh heads or can we use normal heads after installing the trigger?
virajbharat93 1 month ago
@virajbharat93 If you have a good module with lots of editing possibilities of the parameter controls like sensitivity, cross talk, retrigger cancel, etc. then it is possible to use acoustic heads, but you need to deaden them. Acoustic heads have lots of overtones that cause false triggering - double and tripple triggering with a single hit on the drum. Sensitive triggers read the overtones as extra hits so you have to muffle the acoustic heads and adjust the module parameters.

do you get cables to connect to your drum module
JoshTinkler 3 months ago
Yes Josh you get two cables with each trigger. One that feeds through the vent hole and plugs into the trigger and also attaches to the bottom rim of your drum on the other end of the cable. The second cable is over ten feet long so it can plug into the end of the first cable attached to the drum rim and it also plugs into your drum module. The only other cables you need is for your module to plug into an amp or headphones to plug into your module for quiet home practice.
