do you know if i would be able to get a decent electric violin in the range of 30- 100 dollars cause im strap for cash at the moment and i really want one

@genkers
The only way that you will be able to get a decent sound from an electric instrument in that price range is to attach a pickup to your acoustic. Check out the Kremona pickup that's being offered from Electric Violin Shop. It's a decent pickup for a great price. A good electric violin is going to cost much more than $100, unfortunately.

Hey, I want to buy and electric violin so I can practice playing without making too much noise. When played without an amp does it make a lot of noise? And does the shape of the body matter when it comes to the volume? (I will buy an amp aswell but I m just interested in how much noise the thing makes without an amp)

Hi. Go ahead and buy an electric. Are you thinking of buying an EVL? If so, the noise produced b the instrument is very quiet, so you don't have to worry about waking anyone up. The shape of the body definitely makes a difference in the sound, but both standard EVL body shapes will be very quiet indeed.

Amazing sound!!
Do you know of a good amp modeler (not heavy) for good results with e violin?

Don't know about any amp modelers, but a good acoustic amp will do fine. In this video I'm using a Roland Microcube on the JC Clean setting. Hope that helps? ;)
