  • @DiGiTaLdAzEDM It IS the critical factor that gets in most peoples way. And that's what you don't seem to understand about how the subconscious mind works. The critical mind will simply dismiss anything that doesn't match up with what is already in the subconscious mind. So, if you tell someone that it's easy to quit smoking or lose weight ... this message gets thrown out by the critical mind that only knows how to SORT information based on FILTERS and outdated beliefs.

  • The part of your video that bothered me most was: "bypass the critical thinking that our conscious minds have and be able to persuade people at an unconscious level without them knowing what you are doing." How are people ever going to "burst through beliefs that do not serve them" if they do not learn to think critically about those beliefs? You advise to us restrict such critical thinking by others.Critical thinking is one of our greatest allies in life--I choose to encourage it always.

  • @DiGiTaLdAzEDM Also, you can't teach people to be dishonest. They either are or they are not. True, these techniques may fall into the wrong hands. I hope to avoid that. But giving honest people a way to gain a better understanding of how to talk to their kids, how to get your spouse to meet your needs, how to get people to take action in their lives, how to get a much deserved raise..., People TRY to do those things anyway. At least now have hope at succeeding where they once failed.

  • @DiGiTaLdAzEDM Whoever said ANYthing about "ignoring the needs of others"? I am a therapist. It is my job to help others to change their perception about what they are able to accomplish in their life and bust through beliefs that do not serve them. I specifically discussed ethics and integrity in using these techniques. Every powerful tool can be used positively or negatively. The cynicism is not mine. It's your perception of how people would choose to use these tools is very cynical.

  • @DiGiTaLdAzEDM No, actually I am afraid you are mistaken as I am quite the opposite of cynical. You sound pretty cynical as you are reading a lot of negativity into my discussion simply about how to communicate with people in a way that creates rapport such that people want to do what they already want to do. I don't teach people how to do things that are against their will. That's your interpretation.

  • @DiGiTaLdAzEDM Whether you like to hear the word "manipulate" or not, we all at some level manipulate people in order to try to get what we want. Whether it be to go out on a date, give us a job, give us money, agree with our opinion, get a better deal on a car or a house ... you do it all the time and it's also being done to you all the time.

  • @hyptalk "...bypass the critical thinking that our conscious minds have...and be able to persuade people at an unconscious level without them knowing what you are doing.." That sounds very Orwellian to me--ever read a book called '1984'? You are advocating thought control of others for personal gain.I studied philosophy for several years, and learned that critical thinking is one the most valuable tools we have at our disposal in our pursuit of understanding--it should be promoted, not sabotaged.

  • @hyptalk Just seems to me that those giving info on this kind of thing are always appealing to the lesser side of human nature--how to manipulate others, how to make lots of money, etc. etc To the extent that I could learn to use/control the subconscious it would be to improve myself inwardly--to become a better person.

  • @DiGiTaLdAzEDM The information is relative in either case.
