Taken from their debut self titled album this is "Funny How Love Is" by UK outfit the "Fine Young Cannibals".

The album "Fine Young Cannibals" was released back in late 1985. The success of their UK #8 debut single "Johnny Come Home" did not continue with the next single, "Blue", which languished at #41 in the UK. The version of "Blue" found on the compact disc is not the same version found on the original cassette (and LP, presumably).

Our apologies, but much like the non existence of a DVD release, there appears to be no official website for this artist either? Please let us know if anyone has information to the contrary.

*Note: If you are a record company employee or artist(s) who object(s) to this rare commercially unavailable material being promoted (albeit in a lossy mono format) on YouTube then please contact us to have it removed before flagging it. At the same time you may also like to explain to the fans why they cannot access this classic material in a decent quality digital format anywhere else?

"You won't make a profit on something that cannot be purchased but enough exposure may well help sell what you actually do have for sale. Meanwhile to share ones talents is the greatest of gifts!"

Please also be aware that all videos uploaded to YouTube are format shifted by the host website from the original files. This can often cause picture & sound deterioration (i.e. mono audio) as well as the occasional video/audio synchronization issue. The files are also deliberately layered on our end with logos and artists links in order to prevent YouTube recycling by lazy up-loaders, while at the same time helping to promote the artists themselves!

  • That's a great track. Too bad all the other stuff got layered on top of it. Is there another link available of this song by the FYC's?

  • Not that we are aware of but for your information the files are deliberately layered on our end with logos and artists links in order to prevent YouTube recycling by lazy up-loaders, while at the same time helping to promote the artists themselves! Ta :-)

  • Simply the best song of FYC. I knew this song since 1986, when i was 12, and I think its harmony is one of the most beautiful of the pop.

  • This song makes me cry. Very very sad tune. Wonderful music. I wish they would reform. Somehow I doubt whether they could capture the feeling of the 80s now, with its social unrest, riots on the streets, Thatcher's Government telling people to 'get on their bikes' whilst battering the life out of those who where in work and striking for better conditions. All these things made the music, the music back then came from the streets, hard, passionate, and REAL LIFE.

  • simply perfect

  • He looks like he could be Sade's brother...but I may be wrong.

  • No words..... Awesome.

  • Firstly, I love the song for the musical talent on show, love his voice, the spanish guitar and the sax of course!

Secondly, this song is very relevant to me at this time, half of me is sad and the other is hopeful which is exactly how this song sounds to me at least.

  • I dedicate to all that crushed my heart as a young teen, this song takes me back to 1988.

  • thank u for posting one of my fav song s from that band !!!

  • their best song

  • Used to have this cassette. I miss it so much. Used to listen to it constantly. But lost it in a move back in 93. This is my first time hearing this song since then. Funny thing is, this song means more to me now than it ever did then.

  • is that Saxa from the beat? sure has his sound..

  • Without a doubt my favorite FYC song. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for uploading.
