  • The BBC is so sketchy on the issue though. One day it will put out a factual piece like this, but 9 times out od 10, it will perpetuate the stereotypes, of DV as an exclusively or mainly male on female crime, despte the stats showing women initiate tha majority of DV.

  • Thats good news, safe houses for men!

  • Despite the fact that domestic violence occurs at nearly the same percentages against men, as it does women, there is no funding, no facilities and no contribution at any level to help men deal with this growing epidemic, There is a single Domestic Violence shelter in Lancaster, CA that serves men also. It is staffed entirely by volunteers and run off donations, but their waiting list is nearly a year. This single shelter that also accepts some men has been extensively harassed for doing so.

  • @FinalJusticeMovement

Where did you hear anything mentioned about a "same sex partner"? I just heard a mention of an "ex-partner"

  • Glad also a crime survey asked the same questions about violence to both genders. That makes a change.

  • Glad to see this; I am tired of domestic violence being portrayed in the UK as something that only ever involves violence from men to women. There is violence in gay and lesbian relationships and from women to men as well

  • I'm surprised that there aren't any votes down on this.

  • I Called no no one a name, what are you talking about?

  • I refer to any sort of name calling that is directed toward "male same-sex partners".

That's what I was talking about.
