2011 5.0 Mustang vs. 2002 Corvette Z06

Did two runs from 40mph. I was granny shifting (need a new clutch bad) and shifting at 6k. My camera man was a little off last night so sorry for the shitty film job (usually he's the shit). First race I just downright spanked him, 2nd race he gave up after I put a car on him.

Mods for Z06 are Vararam Intake and SLP Loudmouth Cat Back Exhaust.

Mods for Mustang are Full Exhaust and a drop in K & N Filter.

All races done in Mexico!

@QuickStang5o That's because its did not have one in my car at the time this race happened still had the stock LS6 cam, did not have a cam in my car till Oct 7th (TREX). This video was uploaded Aug. 22nd. And there is another video of my car (If your capable of doing a search on my channel) after I installed the cam, notice the upload date Oct. 10th yeah that's right now go back to your hole. If you can do math that should be easy to figure out. Stop trolliing a get and life.

@danny27790 What do u mean by a "new" vette?? A c5 Z06 will beat a 05-07 c6, and will run about dead even with a 08-12 c6. I hope u aint talking about a "new" ls7 z07 cause it would kill a gt500, a 5.0 would be a joke complete waste of time. U 5.0 fanboys need to stick to running the f bodies, stock for stock a 01-02 f body will give a new 5.0 a run for its money.

@02mustangguy u are an idiot just look up- j rod z06, his car is a 02 z06 and runs 11.8's stock. In 2004 or 2005 gm high tech tested a 04 and it ran 11.97@118 mph bone stock. Shit i run at a track that is 6000+ DA and i have seen bone stock c5 z06's run high 12's. The fastest bolt on C5 Z06 runs 10.8's! A mustang or shelby gt 500 will never compete with a corvette, as stated before a corvette is a true sports car.

Why is everyone crying here lol. The C5Z is 10 fold the better performance car, The C5Z is a TRUE sports car unlike the 5.0 which is just a modern day muscle car. I mean WTF did you think was gonna happen in this race? Z06 has huge weight advantage coming in at around 3050lbs, 5.0 coming in at 3770lbs, Better Power to weight racio, Way more Aerodynamic, better gearing ect ect ect. There is no way that race would have been any closer and whoever here thinks that is very very wrong lol

The guy in the mustang wasn't even trying, I can stomp it in 2nd in my 08 gt and you can see my front end jerk up from the torque, I would expect the 5.0 to have way more than mine, I've seen stock numbers of 11.78 on the new 5.0 with a perfect driver, this guy obviously wasnt

Sorry, I own a C5 Z06 and this video is BS. Go over to the Corvette forums in the C5 drag section. The new 5.0 is real close so no way you would pull on like this with those mods.
