Radio program first broadcast in 1999, presented by the late Harry Thompson.
This program is a tribute to the work of Ray Galton and Alan Simpson, namely Hancock's Half Hour and Steptoe & Son.
Galton and Simpson were interviewed for the program, and there are comments from Beryl Vertue, Barry Took & Maurice Gran, as well as extracts from Hancok's Half Hour.
Please note this is AUDIO but I've added visual stills from Hancock's 'The Blood Donor' in parts one and two.
yes lets face it Galton & Simpson really made Hancock it must be wonderful for an up & coming comedian to have tailor made writers to write exactly the best of your character in ordinary circumstances brilliant & Hancock was so lucky to find 2 willing dupes that to this day think Hancock was intelligent he was feigning intelligence as he constantly felt insecure he had little. This was magnified for us & him on Face to Face trying to appear as thoughtful as possible but needing time to think.
