Peter Brotzmann Trio, with Marino Pliakas and Michael Wertmuller playing a short (15 mins) set at the "Jazz on 3" 10th Birthday show at the Cheltenham Jazz festival, 02-May-08
Is this Nicodemus? Friedrich? Marx? Stuff up, fool. I'm my own thoughts. You agree, so then what? Believe me. This guy is the Charlie Parker of the 22nd centruy. Blow the big bands out of THIS water. You got so many to learn and Braxton is a chess wiz. Go figure. How brotz make money? Just jowels it over himslef.
Actually, not really. It takes guts to do something new, whether in the bebop aesthetic or otherwise. This has been done for 30 years now. Hardly takes guts. If you want to talk about body endurance, watch the olympics or listen to metal. I can enjoy this music, but to say its better than other jazz is ignorant. Do you play music? This kind of stuff is fun to warm up with, but you don't have to "try" or "think" or be feeling creative to do it.
It definitely takes more talent and guts to push your instruments and the body to higher endurances and cracking those limitations then playing the same-old-same-old.
trio fantastico l'ho visti dal vivo due volte, la prima fu una scossa travolgente, la seconda ancora più forte.....bravi!
