If you want this crap to stop elect President RON PAUL. He's the only one telling you the "truth" - it's not pretty, but it's the truth. A lot of people need to get their heads our of the sand and understand WHY everything government touches is broken. When they understand the why, they'll then understand Ron Paul and they will vote for nobody else to be their President.

@guadalupefestival : When parents vote with $ it sure as hell does make a difference. It will force the bad schools to clean up their acts and compete for those dollars.
-
@fred00111 : A pilot program where they did just that was working well in DC. It was working so well that the teacher's union demanded the program be killed. And it was.

@godscuttingyoudown - you're so indoctrinated you're actually stupid. You're the problem. Look in a mirror if you want to see what the problem is with that shit hole you call your life.

I saw this movie and i enjoyed it. It was very interesting to get an overview of the NJ education system, how it works and HOW it compares to what some other states do.. If you are sensative to government waste issues, dont watch...

@godscuttingyoudown You are an ignorant, racist moron.
-
@supercr1 - It's on Netflix.
-
@Atombombmother - You haven't actually seen the film, have you?
-
@doctorbigstuff - It's a myth that students can't be expelled from public schools. They can... and are. Private schools have less incentive to expel, and more incentive to rehabilitate. They cannot charge the parents of an expelled student.
So rich people save a little money. Is that a problem. They will spend it somewhere else. The problem is not that we aren't spending enough on education, it's how we spend it. But vouchers provide options for children in poor families. You oppose this why?
-
@guadalupefestival - Yes, you are ignorant and really, really arrogant.
School choice is not the only answer, but its a vital first start. Giving parents control over where their children are educated is self-evident. To suggest that administrators care more about the education of their children than parents do is the height of arrogance.
Teachers unions are a major impediment to education. They fight innovation and accountability. Education needs both, badly.
Unions...unions ...unions

Fixing this problem requires taking the education money out of Washington and letting the local people decide how it should be spent at home for local education. Local decisions with local money.
Take the politics out of it and let the people make the decisions using our own local money. That will force results from the local educational system.
That's how America is supposed to work, isn't it?
Who was it that put Washington in charge anyway? Let's stop making that mistake.
