  • Score of the day, I'm guessing this was taken from Highway 183?

  • yes, from 183 looking due north initially then northeast, about 5 or 6 miles south of Seymour

  • I know people in Wichita Falls had to have been terrified as the 1979 killer tornado was part of a family of tornados spawned near Seymour. And the wedge looks similar to many that occurred on that "Terrible Tuesday" in 1979. I've travelled along that stretch of highway 287 during many storms, and the tension among people there is indescribable. Thank God this was not a repeat of 79.

  • Wichita Falls, which is 50 miles Northeast of Seymour. I watched this storm closely since I could see clouds here in Munday that were not too good. Another small tornado was close by Weinert, south of here in the same storm system.
