Shortly after they showed these vehicles, the economy plunged into recession. Cerberus, which was Chrysler's owner at the time, put it up for sale. There were no takers. Chrysler went through bankrutpcy. Fiat now controls the company. There are plans for hybrids, and vague talk about electric vehicles...but this program is long dead.
