Hello! I now present my fourth Vocaloid project! Starring Gakupo Kamui (Gackpoid) singing a song to his beloved.
This is Gakupo's first solo song, and I find that his voice sounds very nice with this type of music.
"A Groovy Kind of Love" was originally sung by The Mindbenders in 1967, and has also been covered by Phil Collins.
The backing track was made by me on Sibelius 5. Gakupo's vocals were made by me using Vocaloid 2. The delay was added using Audacity. Movie created in Windows Movie Maker.
Artwork by 鮫島さん (Samejima-san)
This video was very experimental for me, since it is the first time I really used delay or reverb on a single-vocal song with a backing track. It is also my first time really fooling around with pitch bend and dynamics.
I started this project in December/January, hoping to have it ready for Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, my laptop broke and had to be sent away, so it was not completed until now.
Please enjoy, thank you for watching, and don't forget to comment! ( ^_^)/
@wolfluver11 Yay! *icecreamconebutt* Thank you for commenting on it~! And I'm glad you liked it. :3
It was all my feelings for you, my beloved husband, as if I were Gakupo, and you were an eggplant. xD

@E5rael Always nice to get a comment from you. ^^
Yeah, I see what you mean by the MIDI instruments being soulless. Luckily, the next song I plan to work on has an actual, non-midi instrumental track for it, so that should make things go better in the future.
I'm glad you think I've done a good job with his English. Now that I've got that down, I really need to focus on emotion, dynamics and musicality of the songs.
Thanks for your comments! I always learn a lot from you. ^^

This piece just goes to show again how well Gakupo can handle English, when skillfully controlled. You did a good solid job here. But, even though you did alter the dynamics, the song sounded still a bit monotonous. The highlights didn't stand out much from the rest of the music in terms of dynamics and intensity. The soulless midi instruments are partly to blame for that, but maybe even bigger changes in dynamics might have done the trick. Nevertheless, you did great! ^^
