In July 2011 STS-135, the final Space Shuttle took off from Kennedy Space Center... closing out a 30 year program.

This is the piece I did for NASA Television commemorating the Space Shuttle's Anniversary and retirement.

  • Thank you so much for your comment. It was challenging and time consuming. As you can imagine taking 135 patches, cutting them out in photoshop... and manipulating them in 3D.... a couple of times I almost threw up my hands and said forget it. But I am glad I stuck with it. A little trivia, the VO in the beginning ins the countdown to STS-1, the first shuttle.... and, it is hard to see, the name on the shuttle is Atlantis... STS-135... the last shuttle.
