This is so brilliant, the whole concept and the way Masaaki Yuasa carries it out is truly a work of genius.
I really want to know the music from this movie.

I think it's the most "wtf" depiction of god i've ever seen. Granted the only other one was from fmab but still.

@wordofwar Only saying this in case you didn't know, but he ran back because if he went through the door God had pointed him to, he would cease to exist even in the afterlife. He was upset because his life ended when he was only 20, and aside from it being an embarrassing death, he felt it was unfair because he had never accomplished anything. God cheered him on as he ran back because Nishi swore that he would do something better with his life : ) According to my friend, anyway!

I really wish this contained the whole scene, this ends on such a sad note. What a great movie. My favorite character has to be the bawling "SHINDAN JAAAAAA!" (YOU DIEEEEEEEED!).

This is pretty much the most awesome depiction of God I have ever seen.
It's such a amazing work and really affect me although I don't know any Japanese. Would you mind explain what's it about?

I'll do my best. The main character, Nishi, has just died an embarrassing, cowardly death and ends up in "purgatory". There he is approached by a constantly changing incarnation of God who basically tells him "life sucks, deal with it". Not happy with this answer, Nishi runs back towards "life" while God cheers him on.
