Voices of Healthy Kids of Santa Cruz County: www.schealthykids.org

Healthy Kids of Santa Cruz County, CA was launched in 2004 with the mission of improving the health of local children by providing them with health insurance, thereby ensuring access to comprehensive medical, dental, vision and mental health services. Since then over 12,000 individual children have been covered via the new Healthy Kids health plan, as well as through extensive outreach and enrollment into Healthy Families and Medi-Cal.

A multitude of studies show that health insurance effectively links children to a medical home, improves their health and school success, increases parent confidence, reduces costs and builds a stronger health care delivery system.

This video shares the personal stories of Santa Cruz County children and their families whose lives have been touched by Healthy Kids.
