Asked if he would have run even if prize money hadn't been offered, Dixon said, "Certainly. I'm here representing the athletes; not TAC, or ARRA, but athletes. Whether we want to call ourselves amateurs, professionals, or just plain athletes, maybe one day we can all compete as one. That will be freedom!"
