Basset Hound Puppy PORTER THE ESCAPE ARTIST

We couldn't figure out how Porter, a Basset Hound puppy, was getting out of her play area when she was left alone in the house. We put a movie camera in a safe spot and started filming. This is what happened. No film splices etc. this is how it went down.

This tells me that Porter is industrious, and has definitely got a "I'll Never Quit" attitude.

Porter will sometimes decide she wants to play...at 3AM... and will wake you up. The only solution is to toss her tennis ball and "play". Then her highness will go back to sleep. Another variant of her "I'll Never Quit" attitude.

It's interesting that Porter knew she had to open the gate rather than dig up the floor and go under. We tried putting our bassett in a room for a day with the door closed and she dug up the carpet under the door! lol Either Porter is very smart or Moochie (my bassett) is way dumb!

Porter is adorable! She reminds me of our female Basset named Maggie that we had growing up. We had 4 males Bassets and 1 female and she was by far the smartest most stubborn of them all. She used to really irritate my dad and wouldn't mind him at all. If she went under a table or bed she would growl at him if he tried to get her out but if us kids tried she always would come out. It was hysterical!

I'd sure love to see more Porter video's!!
