Bio for

ESTHER GARCIA SCHUSTER

Esther Garcia Schuster is a California-based Certified Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietician. She received her bachelors degree in dietetics from California State University and her masters in human nutrition at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.




Throughout her career, Schuster has served as a public health nutritionist, nutrition consultant, diabetes educator, private practitioner, nutrition trainer and instructor and guest speaker. Some of her recent presentation topics include reducing the burden of obesity and diabetes in the Latino community for the California Dietetic Association annual meeting and improving metabolic control through food choices for the Sweet Success Affiliate training program at the Harbor UCLA Medical Center.


Currently Schuster is a perinatal nutritionist for the city of Pasadena and an instructor for Public Health Foundation Enterprises. She is also a member of the American Dietetic Association, California Dietetic Association, Los Angeles Dietetic Association and several dietetic practice groups including diabetes care and education, Latino and Hispanic nutrition and womens health.
