A short vid from a few days ago (August 13, 2008) of Del's Amazing Machine, showing a few final details. I just wish I had asked him to crank it more! Del's personal youtube channel is http://www.youtube.com/woodificood
Also of interest: a feature article about Del in the magazine Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts (summer issue 2011). Web version here: http://www.scrollsawer.com/features/mechanical-marvels-in-wood.html

  • I would never expect a paris hilton reference

  • Pure genius. Excellent craftsmanship. Del's one of a kind. Some day very soon, if it cant be designed on a computer it wont get built. This world needs more people like Del to keep us smiling at creation.

  • Your awesome Del!

  • if i made tht and showed it to my woodshop teacher he would die of shock

  • I am totally amazed, a real magical machine. i love machines like this, this is the way all craftsmen should make his creations.

Do the best you can do, not the fastest way to make money!

  • Would love to see a close up of the chain... no metal pins in those at all?

  • 1:10 :)

  • @EvilKnebl You mean, What isn't it good for?

  • soooo what is this machine good for?

  • @wannabuyacar Dont read too much into it. He's a guy with a hobby for woodworking. Some people like to work with there hands, they always have and always will. Besides the joy he derives from it, there is little practical application for such outdated arts beyond pure appreciation of fine woodworking. Computers have allowed for mankind to enter a new era of affluence where the standard of living allows for men like Del to pursue such whimsical interests. Be grateful

  • So that's what Santa has been building in his workshop.
