VEDA 19: How many fingers am I holding up?

Glasses vs. Contacts. It's a never failed statement. That and, "Did you know you can spell your names forwards and backwards the same?" YEs.

I'm exactly the same! I do wear contacts because glasses used to bug me - i"m so short sighted it's almost funny :P

that bugs me so much too! and I still want to try contacts, but I'll probably just keep putting it off....

@DinkyDoox3 yeah I'd try them. The poor lady that helped me put them in was at the office with me for two and a half hours the first time.

I got contacts for 2 reasons.

1. I always broke them. I would either sit on them, jump on them, get hit in the face with a dodgeball (true story). So they were always either bent or one leg was broken off.

2. For the really lame reason that some guys made fun off me. Lamest excuse ever, but hey, when you are an 8th grade girl, you don't want to start being insecure.

I've had them for about a year and a half now, and I'm loving them. Except when they get stuck in my eye...

My brother oftentimes held up X number of digits when I was younger, always including his thumb, then he'd ask how many fingers he was holding up and if I answered including the thumb as a finger he'd say "A thumb is not a finger! Hahahaha, you're blind!" Very irritating.

@bethiepi3 It took me awhile to get used to the feeling of having glasses on my nose so I hear ya. But once you get used to glasses it's weird to see your nose.

@creativebean That's so good that you are so blind yet you don't wear anything. When you do wear glasses does it make a difference?

I get migranes, so it might be because of my eyes so I might need glasses. I don't like contacts even though I don't wear them. I find them a pain. Two of my friends had/have glasses and switched to contacts, and they are constantly complaining that it hurts or they are moving them.
