I'm a big fan of Super Simple Songs, so I asked them if they'd like to send us some CDs to give away on the show ... and they said yes - awesome!

I really recommend these CDs if you teach English to children. If you have a few good songs, I find the whole lesson falls into place. They'd also make a great present for friends with children. Some people don't have the money to send their kids to an English school, or maybe they don't have a school nearby - but I think they could learn a lot just listening to these CDs at home.

  • I tend to be too overprotective, so kids running around with runny noses, denting the furniture are too much for two hands. Also, they can be very manipulative. They're..."like, totally...sooo doing it on purpose." Funny to hear that from you though. haha...

  • Yeah, the snotty noses can be a bit gross :\

  • I liked the part where you sing!!!SEEEEEE YOU LATER!!!!

  • Ha ha ... I think I look ridiculous, but thank you :)

  • lol cool video. i'm looking to getting to japan next year maybe via jet, though i'm unsure how i'll react to a class of kids, generally how big are your classes? it seems like it could be fun, i'll at least look forward to reading them roald dahl...

  • At the moment I'm teaching kids at a private language school and the class size ranges from 2 to 7. When I taught at a junior high school the size was 35 to 40 - and a whole different kettle of fish, with different challenges. It is fun, when you get used to it. I think with Jet it's often assistant teaching, so you wouldn't have to worry about classroom management, but I could be wrong.

  • I'm sorry, I'm going to need a lot more "Banana time" before you'll get me to talk like a New Zealander :)

  • I have been teaching ESL to high school students for 15 years. This year I was misplaced in a primary school. I am teaching 2nd grade students. They are driving me nuts. They love me but that's what makes the problem worse. They don't take me seriously. Any advice?

  • This is OK.

  • Pretty good advices there. Good job!

  • i just love her accent so sophisticated

  • Did you know monkeys open bananas from the other end?
