I just saw the first part about the obese 3rd grader and I'd like to say this: yeah, her parenting sucks and SOMEBODY should do something about it but if you let the government step in and take away your kid, what's to stop them from taking away other kids? Or, if they have something against a certain parent they can be like "oh, your kid is too fat, I'm taking him...but I might change my mind if you strip naked for me."
