Ever wonder why chairs go on wind hold sometimes? Because when chairs are either in danger of hitting the towers, or are swinging so much that they might get jammed up in the top or bottom terminals, that can create a situation when a lift stops, and would then have to be evacuated. We aim to avoid those situations for the betterment of mankind. Thus wind hold occurs in the 40-60 mph range and above for safety reasons. You do not want to be on a chair, waiting for a rope down when it's blowing 60+. Trust me.
