Think there's a significant difference between Jesus and Santa Claus? Guess again....

  • Great video. I think the comparisons at 2:16 - 2:25 don't equate though, as the one (cheese sandwich and dog butt) requires pareidolia. But the children literally see a dress up man as Santa.

  • @Comp1337e Thanks. Well, this IS a tongue-in-cheek video. ;-)

  • @Underlings Ya, but I took your "this isn't a flippant question" to heart.

  • @Comp1337e True, true...to parse it, I mean the question to be serious but the answers to be ridiculous--seriously ridiculous, you might say.

  • @Underlings

Hmm. Alright. ;p I'm just trying to provide a critique, as you know they'll do the same, but not from a happy place, like me. :P

  • @Comp1337e Oh, and believe me I appreciate it!

  • @Underlings :) Awesome.

  • @MrSlippin22 Yes, exactly, the Bible even admits God commits and condones evil. And it's not just minor evil, either, but murder, genocide, torture, child abuse, rape, slavery, lying, betrayal...all the worst evils. And just as we don't forgive Hitler for murdering Jews just because he was nice to Eva Braun, we shouldn't forgive God for his atrocities.

God deliberately sends the vast majority of humanity to eternal torture. You think such a monster is worth worshiping? I sure don't.

  • God does Both Good and evil Isaiah 45:7 I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. it seems he just choosing your way for you right now. Psalm 25:12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. (God Chooses your way not you) Matthew 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

  • @MrSlippin22 To be as religious as you are, you can't be an above average critical thinker, almost by definition. I'm sure you realize that God condones or commits behavior you yourself consider truly evil, yet you won't judge him evil. That takes some serious cognitive dissonance and deliberate suspension of critical thought.

I highly recommend viewing watch?v=6OLPL5p0fMg to understand why you're failing to think critically.
