Francescatti plays Paganini (1/3)

Many highly regard Zino's recording of Paganini, I believe there are 3 recordings and this one seems to be oop, I presonally prefer Shmuel Ashkenasi's recording but this is yet another chance to experience she unique sound of Francescatti

I have uploaded rare out of print and unreleased recordings that are difficult to find, I hope you like them.

Since they are so difficult to find no one should mind me uploading them, if you have issues with me uploading them please send me a message and I will remove them.

you know of course I love this...I was thinking how appropriate that he owned the "Harte" Strad...listen to his music, and of course, it was sold and donated in behalf of upcoming violin students--the man had so much heart and it saturated his music.

This recording is untouchable. I have the LP and has been listening to it for over 60 years. Thanks for posting it even when it has several glitches. Zino was artist, teacher and humanitarian.

I had the privilege of performing with this great artist on two different times during my time with Toledo Symphony. His sound was very powerful, like a bull dozer, of great beauty. His sound was so rich. No one sound like him.

what can i say - i had never heard any of Francescatti's recordings before YT and this was recommended to me by OMB which i thank her for. it really is a wonderful listen. none of us of course had the privilage of hearing the ultimate master paganini but from what i understand this is probably the closest we will get to it :-)

As a student, this was the first recording of the Paganini concerto I heard. I lent it to someone and never saw it again. Thanks for posting it.
