Workers talk about the "sweat blood and tears" fighting for rights at work - the same rights the Howard Government is taking away with "Work Choices", the Howard Government's new IR laws.

  • As a worker in America even in the year 2011, I can honestly say treatment, conditions, and wages whether union or not, do not meet my personal expectations. I suppose revolutions have truly been waged simply for better economic conditions respect, dignity, and freedom.

  • Unions unite against the bosses that want to pay as little as possible for as much as they can get from people. Since when idividuals vs. bussinesses in negociation the individual is at a natural disadvantage for obvious reasons. Collectively you achieve the standards of living we enjoy in UK, Aust, and for some the US. Simple really, even an idiot like oceanz4me should get it. What you dickhead yanks need to learn is some class consciousness; ure in the matrix the robots are those rich basterds

  • As the theme of the video is PAST struggles for rights at work then it is hardly surprising that the story tellers are retired. Krun's insight goes a long way towards explaining what went wrong for the Liebrals (& still is for the State Liebrals).

  • If only the labor government weren't voted in earlier! I have been fired tonight over the phone. My previous employer says to me "I don't need to give you a reson, under Howard's laws you have a six month probationary period, that is my reason".

  • they will try to make you work more like it or not

and if you knock back overtime they can sack you isnt that bad enough.i have a brother that knocked back one of these work choice agreements and that is there loss he is to smart to sign away dollars and they lost a dam good worker.
