  • @Armigo91 Maybe the point is that it's not supposed to survive the landing.

  • The plane is named after the Greek god of war. And Mars is the Roman God of War.

    Cool. lol

  • Can Mars be terraformed?

  • @Archimedes555453525 It uses rockets, which perform equally well in a hard vacuum or the thick atmosphere of earth.

  • unless you really wanna throw with your finances, if so, please go on id love to see the result. How much will it cost? 800billion dollars, 1 trillion dollars, im smelling a increase in financial crisis. Fine to have the mentality to try things, but only if you know if it succeeds like nasa has proven time after time, i know very well how advanced robotics are today, but it is impossible, you dont know how it will behave and you cant alter the landing, thts fkced up.

  • nasa is capable of lots of things, and they will try to preset the landing, which is impossible, dont try it because it wont work. Im not even going to argue on the rocky terrain. If your landing gear hits a rock its game over even if you succesfully horizontally land. Its a absurd idea, it would be easy if you had manual control from mars orbit, but from earth which involves preset landing commands, absurd, you dont know how the plane will behave, you cant. Stop this project.

  • we need a martian aircrash investigation, but nasa probably hopes they can auto set a landing course (concerning the time traveling of lightspeed between earth and mars is in minutes. So you cant land on mars in realtime, they will need to preset the landing every move of every aileron trim and rudder to succeed landing. So its a crash glide eventually, you cannot let it land on mars.

this is a very ambitious video and nowhere near represantative of realism.

  • as for the lightweight this vehicle represents it needs a jet engine to keep it in the air. Apart from all that i know mars has less gravity, but that makes pretty much no difference, this vehicle has no engines, so if you cant takeoff and stay in the air for long then why would you bother, sending one there in a capsule until it crashes, very much durability im sensing...not. If thats the new mars scenario theyd better make a new surface probe. Weve mapped it with satellites, why send a plane

  • mars has 100th of earth atmosphere, i know the vehicle is light in weight and all. But 100th atmospheric pressure is similar to 18km 60000feet on earth and vehicles need to travel arpimd ,acj 1 to escape from stalling. As for the leightweight

  • and what does it have to stay in the martian atmosphere? I didn't see a jet engine
