This is a video of Forbidden Forest 3 gameplay.(sorry its a bit long)Probably the only way you found this video was because you were going to see a video of the original Forbidden Forest for Commodore 64. FF3 was made back in 1999, so its graphics are a bit out of date, but it makes up for it in bringing back the classic music modernized.

  • the only thing i like here is the dance and the music.

  • Yeah, the rest of the game is pretty primitive. I found it addicting for a bit, until I got to the last checkpoint and it became impossible to beat.

  • Could I play this on a PC P4 2.66 GHZ 1GB Ram with "regular" video card on a Dimension 2400 ?

  • I got it on Ebay for $4. It probably could easily run on any of today's PCs, including yours. Don't know what other games have the night scene.

  • Still have my C64, still have this game - and it is STILL scary!!!!

  • Completely agree with you.

  • @hnemify I always thought Paul Norman created all the music for the games. Do you know the name of the piece(s) by Bartok?

  • Has anyone finished this game? I had like a million coins and finally got stuck on some majorly hard monster with not enough strength to ever finish it. The box mentioned all kinds of surprises, but I never found any. I couldn't get into any buildings, when you shot another archer all they did was drop a coin.

  • Haha, the dance is win! What was I doing playing Everquest in '99? O_o

  • 02:38 - DANCE, ARROW BOY, DANCE!

  • lol that dance just completely kills the mood.

  • these graphics look just like Wii !

  • @Cakegolem I was thinking the same damn thing.

  • Maybe they should have titled this game "Forbidden Meadow" instead... there isn't much in the way of an actual forest going on.

  • I've to admit the game's not as bad as I thought it would be, but in terms of atmosphere it can't hold a candle to the C64 original. The music is too generic and hardly scene triggered, something that made the original a winner.

  • Wow, interesting. I didn't know this 2003 remake even existed - not to mention if was developed and published by the same company as the original (Cosmi).
