I am used to riding on workboats that are lucky to hit 8 knots. This baby hit 24 going against the current! Usually when I travel from Charley to Delta I go in the galley and take a nap. Didnt have time on this ride :D

The name of the vessel is the Rapid Runner II.

If you pause at :26 you see the platform I live and work on for half of the year.

  • @phiprimetime Where I am at is about 85 miles south of Morgan city Louisiana.

  • @phiprimetime Mine is about 84 miles offshore.

  • How far out in gulf are those rigs?

  • @likeits1985 Longest on a platform was 21 days.

Back when I worked inland waters pumping barges I once had to pull 56 days straight because my relief got arrested at the airport in New Orleans... He is in Angola for life now.

  • What is the longest stretch of time you had to work on the platform out at sea?
