This well-known rat run was to be blocked off - hurray! A couple of bollards at either end, £50 on labour, job's a good one.

Oh no! Not in Edinburgh, where they rebuilt the kerbs, re-aligned one half (!!) of the cycle path and made the pedestrian/cycle area half as wide as it was before - adding about fifty bollards into the bargain. Can you believe they actually rebuilt the gardens to remove the shared use bit, putting the bikes on the pedestrians' half?

What were they thinking? Did nobody see these plans?

  • Don't give a shit love to meet a cyclist that stops at a red light am going to start to film em

  • That's one for the Warrington crap cycles lanes site now.

You should be able to find out how much was wasted with a FOI request.

  • It's the same sort of nonsense in everywhere. They axed the only bus service down our road, then 2 weeks later came and painted massive BUS STOP markings on the road next to every, now defunct, bus shelter. So much for joined up government.

  • I've not been that way (on the path) for a while, they seem to have c'cked that up!

  • You were like WTF? LOL

  • I think the title should be "Best cycle provision evar!!"£"!!!" with equal amounts of irony in the comments.
