this is bullshit. any movie that borrows sounds from pc games made in the early 90's (i.e. Heretic, Hexen) should be destroyed.

Actually all the sound f/x were done by a foley artist. All of the Demons are genuine vocal f/x. The victims were even redone in post by the foley. All the footsteps, floor creeks, squishy sounds, door slams and radio feedback are foley. I'll even let you in on a bit of a cinema magic secret! In Christopher Knight's death scene the foley artist actually beat his head against a door frame for those sound f/x. Nothing sounds better than the real thing. Oh and kids don't try that at home!
