el Noi de la Mare - M Llobet

The Kid of the Mother... I like the word by word translation from Catalan to English!). One of the many beautiful arrangements of Catalan folksongs by the great guitarist Miquel Llobet (1878 - 1938). Guess I'm complicating my life by playing his arrangements... they sound great, but they are proper fingerstretchers (the guitars used to be smaller). The song is a lullaby and christmas tune. All the kids here (Barcelona) know the melody so when I performed it in a school last week they started singing along when I was playing:)
