  • @MusicisMYlife210 Seven Star Praying mantis, which I have been learning for several years now, is a Northern Style. Southern style Mantis and Northern style Mantis are very different and their origins are completely seperate. There are also many different Northern styles other than Seven Star, including: Tai Mantis, 6 Harmony, 8 Step as well as several others. I just wanted to point out that your description of Seven Star is incorrect.

  • He sucks

  • @drchango2010 northern mantis, or tai mantis (either is correct) is completely different than seven star mantis, which is a southern style, hope this helps clarify :-)

  • didáctico... gracias...

  • @drchango2010 ---"5 provinces king of broadsword--Suen Yuk Fung=" was the great great master famous in the Broadsword and BaQuaDao is one of his. (Please note: his sword

is short handle not similar with the long handle Dao which is very obvious doing the

BaQua walk). Master Suen joined ChinWoo and his broadsword was also the curricum, and its slightly different in comparing with the form doing by direct SuenYukFung's lineage schools.

  • the best of the best BaQuaDao ever seen in YouTube !! M A R V E L O U S !!!

Thank you Shanghai Chin Woo !!

  • would it be complimentary to the Seven Star Praying Mantis lineage?

Also, know any respected teachers in North America I could learn it from? =)

  • @drchango2010 ba gua dao originates from northern praying mantis. it is also teached in chin woo schools. this form is well known.

  • Very accurate! Well done.

    5 points of course.

    Greetings from Cologne/Germany

  • great stuff

what system or family of systems does this style originate from? (I'm assuming it's "Eight Diagram Broadsword" not a broadsword form from one of the Bagua lineages)
